Qualifications The successful Dietary Assistant must:

  • Align with The Hills’ mission of serving those entrusted to our care.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Preferably have previous food service experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Preferably possess a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities The successful Dietary Assistant must:

  • Assist in food preparation, serving and delivery.
  • Cleaning and sanitize work areas, equipment, floors, dishes and utensils.
  • Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
  • Create a safe, loving and homelike environment for the Residents.
  • Contribute and participate in the execution of the Plan of Care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Dietary Supervisor.

Skills The successful Dietary Assistant must:

  • Take direction from Dietary Supervisor and work effectively with fellow employees.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Preferably possess current CPR certification.
